So Terry Jones (stupid) Glenn Beck (stupidly smart) & The EDL (lol) have got me inspired with all the vitriol to RE-examine religious law.
And not just the law of my faith ISLAM baby!!! But ALL religious law. The fancy name 4 it is comparative study of faith based jurisprudence.
But let's call it "Keepin' it REALigious" hahaha. And by ALL let's just keep it simple and use the Abrahamic Faiths. The J.C.M. Mafia!!!

Just do your best to understand what your place is on this earth & atleast respect the right for the next man to exist & prosper.

It's disheartening watching whats going on in the world right now and hearing all the hate and ignorant things that 'so called' experts like Glenn Beck and others feed to everyone. ReplyDeleteI feel like me and Lupe are in the same boat, because I think we have become slightly disenchanted with our own childhood faith, but are maintaning it merely to keep the peace. My family would be torn apart if I mentioned my insecurities about religion.
But, at the end of the day, if it's all bullshit, the. Do whatever keeps you happy; and if that's religion, so be it. It's like Slartibartfast says in hitchhikers guide to the galaxy;

Religions (Abrahamic) aren't "baffling" or "barbaric." Followers are! Lupe likes to talk about the Quran, but this whole speech has many points that contradict the Quran. But it's all good, we all make mistakes right?!

They are both really smart. It's more a of Lupe pointing out something than a diss, like Words I Never Said. I'm pretty sure Lupe has respect for Beck, he even mentioned it before on twitter. Beck is not dumb. He is basically the the Lupe Fiasco of the media. But you guys wouldn't understand this because you don't research. And I know exactly what Lupe is trying to say. He didn't say it right, but I know what he is trying to say and it is correct. And for anyone pulling the Fox excuse, no dude, Beck hates Fox to, just like Lupe hates Atlantic.

Lu was tryna compare a 'bad" production or person of Judaism with a 'good' one..Hence Noam Chomsky = the 'good' one.
@ People that don't get the Bin Laden post...he's saying that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam produced "good" people and not so good people using the "&" to show juxtaposition. This adding to the point that not all religions or the people of them got it all together.

There are many religions in the world and all are professing to be the one and only truth. weather you believe in religion or age old BS is up to you, it just essential to look at things with an open mind, as Lupe has done
and to everyone expecting Lupe to be a saint, have a look at yourselves before you judge, as humans by nature are fallible with in turn means no one follows their belief system (weather it may be organized religion or otherwise).

ReplyDeleteI'm a Christian and I agree. People have used religion for there own gain throughout history but also people influenced by it have learned to love in the realest, deepest of ways. I like the fact that you are talking about this because no one ever wants to talk about religion. Me and two other students tryed to do a project on religion in our journalism class and they didn't want us to. I think people need to talk about there things to learn to understand each other and respect each other at least. I think if you are unwilling to listen to someone who's opinion differs from your own it shows little faith in your own beliefs. I guess I like discussing things that many people don't talk about, and I like that you were bold enough to do this on Twitter.
