ReplyDeleteI like the idea of having a sequel to Lupe Fiasco's The Cool titled Lupe Fiasco's The Cooler. Then he'll have to do Lupe Fiasco's The Coolest.

The Cool is my favorite album period, so im definitely down with the idea of a sequel. just please dont call it "The Cooler" lol.
ReplyDeletei think "Lupe Fiasco's Too Cool" would be a better title. it serves the purpose of being a title for a part 2. plus itll piss some people off cuz it sounds cocky as hell hahahahaha

I like The Cool story just as it is. Sequels to stories that are planned out years later usually don't turn out as well as the original, in my opinion. I'd really love to see LupEND come out though. Those beats 1500 or Nothin would play at his concerts were truly spectacular.

ReplyDeleteThe Cool is not only my favorite Lupe album but it is also one of my favorite rap albums in the past decade! It is classic 'Lupe Lyrical'! So I go fo it Lu! I am glad to see it is a thought because those "Cool" days made me a solid fan for sure. Food & Liquor I thought Lu was cute and had great potential but 'The Cool' made me truly respect him as an artist and acknowledge the fact that this man is perhaps is the best rapper of my generation! The concept (Micheal "My Cool"),lyrics and production was flawless on this album imo....I still listen to that album to this day in its entirity from the beginning 'Baba Says' to the end 'Go Baby'.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a sequel to the cool. But call it "Cooler" NOT "The Cooler." No "Lupe Fiasco's," no "The," just "Cooler."
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose between the two I'm not sure it would matter. Wasn't LupE.N.D. supposed to wrap up The Cool anyway? However if the concepts are supposed to be different then I'm going with LupE.N.D. I absolutely love the Cool but a new fresh idea tends to bring the best out of people as opposed to rehashing an old one.
