Video: Lupe Fiasco previews first Tetsuo & Youth single featuring Chris Brown!
Lupe was performing at the American University in Washington, DC earlier today and he decided to give a sneak preview of his forthcoming single, Crack ft Chris Brown. Definitely sounds CRACK to me, full track dropping next month!
Goes so hard
ReplyDeleteYoooo that was DOPE. I'm HYPE!
ReplyDeleteDope!! That kid at the end was trying for an autograph or something? Lol
ReplyDeleteThis song bangs! I have no expectations for T&Y so Imma just Lu surprise me with this album.

DeleteStop bashing L.A.S.E.R.S. it went Gold. Like edm/house music is bad.
I'm definitely anticipating this album! Just like that second Japanese Cartoon mixtape................ (Crickets) or that Sndclsh joint that never came as well................. (Locusts)

DeleteYour right no release date for Sndclsh. I saw a post for August, but nothing happened.
On their Facebook Page
DeleteSorry not for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Lu?
ReplyDeleteI think Lupe is tryin for that Greatest Hits idea
ReplyDeleteHype for this album for TY is over 9000, but i'm just gonna wait for it be patient.
ReplyDeleteTurn ups... where did that comefrom?
ReplyDeleteHe needs to get back on that Food and Liquor flow.
ReplyDeleteI love Lu and I don't want to sound like one of the so called 'fans' that complain about his new stuff. I enjoyed FOTP and most of F&L2 but he's starting to sound like every other rapper now. The reason I love Lu is because he goes against the grain
ReplyDeleteWho does he sound like???
DeleteLet him get a major hit so that his true message can be spread among the masses
ReplyDeleteHard
DeleteCold Raps And Chris Killing. This is going to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteHow ppl are judging a man's work by a snippet...beats the hell outta me. And like Lu said, for those that want the old Lupe, go listen to his old shit. Part of art is to evolve and do new things. Let the man do him and wait and see what the finished product will be. -Law

DeleteLupe!!!
ReplyDeleteexcited for the album
I ain't mad at Lupe for trying to make bangers. He devoted entire album to sociopolitical records and people spat in his face by saying he was preachy (outside of 3 records that really wasn't the case). Now he's making fun records and it's still not what people want. Idk what he can do to win in some people's eyes. Not saying you're suppose to blindly support him (hooks n production on F&L2 was iffy), but it's like what more do you want from the man?
ReplyDeleteIm just waiting on his release from the shackles of Atlantic and then ill get excited for his music again cause he's clearly trying to get it over with, however this still sounds good
ReplyDeleteI love Lupe. I always give his new shit a chance and most of the time I end up loving it. As for Chris brown. I dont like him not a fan. But that doesn't mean. I won't be bumping a lupe track with him on it. Can't wait for this

ReplyDeleteThe beginning sounded great with the edm approach, the lyrics sound a little average but i'm still excited for T&Y
ReplyDeleteSome of most widely received songs with a message for the past 40 to 50 years had a universal sound that the masses could listen to, I have no problem with Lupe making a song that has club appeal as long as he's not doing a 180 and rapping like Wayne and Ross, hell the lyrics could be plain for all I care as long as his whole album doesn't sound like this one song, Hiphop started off as party music, Rapper's Delight is not complex, it doesn't talk about the struggles of the ghetto, it's not political, there's no storytelling or punch lines, so for you dumbasses that think that what Lupe isn't doing isn't Hiphop, shut the fuck up and go listen to some boring ass Immortal Technique.
ReplyDeleteWORD! except for the immortal technique comment, lol! -Law
ReplyDeleteNot saying IT is boring as in his music is boring but boring as he never tries to branch out with his music, most of it sounds the same and he always has a serious tone in it which is depressing at times, not hating but it's true in most cases.
DeleteJust off of the preview...still really can't judge until I've heard the full song in good quality. I will say that a video to this song could really send it over the top if the rest of the song is on point. It actually has me in my seat bouncing! I mean let CB dance in it like only he can do and could have real mass appeal. -Law
ReplyDeleteHonestly...sounds like Cb is saying All you wanna do it ______ (Lupe hip thrusts). Has Lu ever done a DIRTY song? Seems like he is doing it here...
ReplyDelete^ Flash My Watch is dirty as hell. Lol "you, me and her go back to my room, pop a bottle or two, I'm just playing I'm just saying..."
ReplyDeleteI love how yall completely ignore the fact that Cup Of Jayzus is lyrical as hell and on that F&L flow... dropping likely the same damn week, yet yall still complaining.
ReplyDeleteLet Lu do what he needs to do, get that radio buzz so he does well with sales and such. Everybody knows what he's capable of!
Its so sad when rappers like Lu lose focus on what's important and start going after the 'radio buzz, saleS and such' *sigh
DeleteAND EVEN SADER WHEN FOLKS THINK THAT THATS WHAT HE'S DOING.....SMH.
DeleteLoL wow... Relax your tits. There's no need to get all worked up, its just an opinion. Its the way I see it, I might not have been his fan for long but I've listen to commercial hip-hop for long enough to know when Lu is starting to take the commercial route. But like I said, its an opinion, so we are just gonna have to wait for the album to come.
DeleteAGREED......AND IM CALM. LOL.
DeleteA while ago lupe said on his twitter that he doesn't care about sales but there's a point when you HAVE to pay bills and stuff..
DeleteYou can't blame him for taking the "commercial route" because of the sound when the messages he has always tried to portray are still there..
True.....but just because him n breezy came together doesnt absolutely means he takin a commercial route as lolly say......it might seems and sounds that way but only he n a few others really knows what hes doing. But if its gonna help in anyway then thats a good thing. Its not to be looked dwn on tho. Smh.....lolly thinks hes lozing focus on what she thinks is important.....lmao......
DeleteNo offense lolly.....you somewhat cleaned up yur assumption or opinion.....lol. u good.
DeleteYeah... What's important, changing lives using music. Literally.. His music helped me survive life's troubles. It would be a shame if he changed, but we will wait for the ablum to come to see what's really happening
DeleteBreezy on the chours yeaaaaa boooiiiiii
ReplyDelete#T&Y
