Last night, Lupe Fiasco and Damian Marley were in the studio. Lupe's guitarist Erik Hammer was also in the lab with them.
You may remember that Lupe named Damian Marley, along with Thom Yorke, as one of the only artists he hopes to work with. This would make for a dope Tetsuo & Youth feature, stay tuned! Hit the jump to see another photo from the session!
Yes!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnticipation keeps rising
ReplyDeleteHeard Thot 97 on the radio yesterday
ReplyDeleteLupe Fiasco ain't playing y'all, he been getting a lot of love lately from fans.......this 2nd rise starting to feel like the Fahrenheit 1/15 days
ReplyDeleteNow that he's off Politics and just making Good music I bet this album does Lasers numbers or better
ReplyDeleteOne could argue that both Food & Liquour and The Cool maintained political elements. In fact, it need not be argued: its a fact.
DeleteThat was never the argument just that in recent years it got too heavily political and away from the quality of music.
DeleteIf Nas hops on this too!!
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteWe gotta make this album go Platinum, he's giving us what we want. If we want more down the road we gotta support this. I'm
ReplyDeleteBuying 5 copies
All that "Lupe Fiasco is underrated" talk seems like it'll dissapear after Tetsuo & Youth
ReplyDeleteAlbum of the year! I'm really excited for tetsuo&youth!!
ReplyDeleteOh My God, I can't wait for Tetsuo and Youth.
ReplyDeleteI know Lupe won't disappoint because he never did.
A lyrical genius whose music reaches my heart every single time.

ReplyDeleteAlbum of the Year
DeleteErik Hammer is Lu's guitarist, not drummer
ReplyDeleteDamien always packs the best weed. #Trustme
ReplyDeleteLupe Fiasco about to drop a CLASSIC (Great collection of diverse music with a message that's still lyrical but enjoyable to the masses)
ReplyDeleteYou forgot one very important components of a Classic: Thematic Cohesiveness. And I actually think that's what Lupe's album may end up lacking. It could be a good album, but for some reason I get the sense that he didn't go into it with a theme in mind, as he did with F&L and The Cool. Only time will tell, though.
DeleteAgreed
DeleteCohesiveness doesn't mean beats or music with similar sound that's narrow minded
DeleteEverytime Lupe drops a album it always feels like a holiday to me, This album is gearing up to be a damn classic and it will definitely put him in the conversation of one of the best rappers of all-time.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely
DeleteI ain't never forget about that Atomic Misphilosophies song with Damian we heard about that was supposed to be on TGRA pt 2 ...either they're recording it or this is something new...either way I'm excited as hell!!!!
