Still Celebrating That Grammy!!

Did you know that Daydreamin' is the product of multiple minds, cultures, time periods, and genres?

Let's start with the most recent, aside from Lupe's rendition..

3.) Day Dream In Blue- I Monster (2001)

- I really love this version, as well as the video! It's all innocent and then BAM

"I dream a dirty dream of you, baby
You're crawling on the bathroom floor
You float around the room and you're naked
Then you're flying out the bedroom door
I dream a dirty dream" ... lol

2.) Day Dream- Wallace Collection (1968)

-This song was a hit, giving the Wallace Collection international recognition! It is credited as the original version of this song :)

1.) Swan Lake Ballet- Tchaikovsky

-Wallace Collection said their influence for Day Dream in Blue was this Russian Composer's four act composition...

I really like this performance...

From a Russian Classical Ballet to Belgian Pop to British Electronica to American Hip Hop??

Together, these influences brought us
LUPE FIASCO'S GRAMMY AWARD WINNING HIT "DAYDREAMIN'" ft Jill Scott (2006)

This song NEVER gets old.

Thanks Guys!

-June

P.S. Guess which one is my favorite? lol
