Video: Symbolyc One speaks in depth about Black Vietnam and his relationship with Lupe Fiasco!

S1 sat down with DJBooth.net and spoke on how the Black Vietnam project with Lupe came about. He says that after producing several tracks for Tetsuo & Youth, he contacted Lupe about possibly doing a full project together. He goes on to say that Lupe felt so comfortable rapping over his production that he immediately jumped at the idea. After spending a few hours on the phone, they had the idea for Black Vietnam almost completely established. While the project is not entirely recorded, he says that they have beats, concepts, hooks and lyrics already mapped out and will be going in the studio next month to put the pieces together.

S1 even shows the camera a text he received from Lupe that reads, "Yo..."Anatomy" is crazy as fuck!!!" They both seem to be very excited for this project so we can't wait to hear what Black Vietnam sounds like!

Video: Symbolyc One and Vohn Beatz talk about working with Lupe Fiasco and Black Vietnam!

S1 and his 16 year old son Vohn Beatz visited J-Kruz at 97.9 The Beat in Dallas recently. Vohn Beatz talked about getting his first album placements on upcoming albums from Lupe and LaCrae, then S1 gave details about his collaboration with Lupe called Black Vietnam. He revealed that it is a conceptual record about kids in kindergarten taking over their school and the different problems that take place afterwards. It sounds like its going to be very interesting, can't wait to hear how its executed!

Also, S1 talks about working with Keyshia Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, The Game and Madonna! Check it out above!

Video: Lupe Fiasco considers making a sequel to "The Cool" called "The Hot"!

You may remember that Lupe considered making a sequel to his sophmore album called "The Cooler". Well Nadeska Alexis from MTV asked him about a follow up to "The Cool", and he says that he was considering making something called "The Hot" at one point. He says the story would pick up where "The Cool" off Food & Liquor left off with Michael Young History getting robbed then going to visit his daughter. 2 years ago, I attempted to put the pieces of the saga together (which you can read HERE) so this is something that I've personally been waiting for and would love to see come to fruition eventually!

He also speaks about his joint project with S1 called Black Vietnam, which he compared to Gang Starr. Based off Lupe and S1's chemistry on songs for Tetsuo & Youth, they decided to keep the energy going with Black Vietnam which was originally an idea Lupe had for Kanye West. It may be released independently or on a major label, but Lupe says he will take advantage of his position as music director for the USMNT and release something off Black Vietnam for the World Cup!

Black Vietnam (Lupe Fiasco & Symbolyc One) coming sooner than you think!

Yesterday, S1 tweeted that he and Lupe met up to develop their collaborative project, Black Vietnam, a little more. He also said that we can expect to hear it sooner than you may expect. Lupe went on Twitter this morning and tweeted the above picture. This album is looking like it will be some next level stuff! Hit the jump to see some more pics tweeted by Lupe!

Lupe Fiasco and S1 come together for a new supergroup?!

Lupe recently went on Twitter and said the following...

The tweet was deleted, but right on the heels of that information came this S1 interview with HipHopWeekly:
HHW: What’s next for Symbolyc One?

S1: In addition to the Kanye album, I’ve been working on Eminem’s new album and I’m very excited about that. I’ve been working with Lupe on his solo album and also, me and Lupe started a group together. All I can say is it’s gonna be a really dope concept album.

A third member has yet to be revealed, but Lupe tweeted S1 asking "#BlackVietnam or #MOMABoyz?" which have turned out to be possible group names (MOMA being an acronym for Museum of Modern Art).

Lupe also tweeted possible scenarios for the rest of his career. The scenarios included a greatest hits album as his last album under Atlantic, and Skulls dropping via a partnership with 1st & 15th and Red Bull. Also, it looks like Black Vietnam might've won the group name debate, which would apparently drop under FNF and Def Jam.

Who do you think the 3rd member could be? Which group name do you prefer? What scenario do you think would be best? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
