In a recent interview with Vibe, Lil B revealed the following:

Lil B: This is a VIBE first - Look out for some music from Lil' B featuring Jay Electronica and Lupe Fiasco, coming real soon. No one knows about this. I got a text from Jay Electronica last night. It’s just a respect thing between us. I mean he’s such a dope emcee.

Lil B recently inspired a Twitter freestyle from Lupe, even receiving a shout-out in SLR. This trio may seem odd, but Lil B has already collaborated with Hip Hop legend, Cormega. I am a fan of Lil B (no kidding), so I hope this track comes to fruition soon!

Q-Tip talks about the Future of Hip-Hop & mentions Lupe

The good folks over at BrooklynBodega recently interviewed Q-Tip and asked him what he thinks the future of Hip-Hop is, check his answer below!

BB: What do you think is the future of Hip-Hop now?


Q-Tip: Jay Electronica. I think he is the future. I think he is the shit. Hopefully we can continue to go in that direction of cats like him and Lupe. Hopefully, we can get more musical and less critical and opinionated.

Side note: He also said that he's currently working with Nas and Kanye.

Lupe Fiasco reaches out to Jay Electronica & explains Jay-Z Comment

While on the red carpet for the premiere of the MTV documentary "Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro," Lupe spoke to MTV and said that he's not only down with collaborating with Jay Electronica, he's initiating things.


"I reached out to him a couple of days ago with some real serious ideas," Lupe said. " 'Let's put a program together. Something that works out and makes sense for the both of us.'

He's a very talented MC. One of the few MCs that I actually listen to what they're saying. I don't listen to 98 percent of the rappers out there. But he's one of the MCs I listen to and I'm inspired to do so. A collaboration is in the works."

Lupe also clarified the comments he made recently, when he said he did not want to be like Jay-Z...watch the video above to find out what he said.

Jay Electronica: Me & Lupe are going to do a Project...

I know we already reported about a possible Jay Electronica x Lupe Fiasco collabo, but Jay just mentioned it in an interview with MTV again.

Let's look at this, a while ago Lupe said that he wants to do a whole album with Jay and now Jay says this:

"Me and Mos [Def] have a project that we're doing, me and Guilty Simpson have a project that we're doing. I would like to do a project with Lupe [Fiasco], we're going to do a project at some point."
