WTF?! - They Put T.I.'s Head on Lupe's Body

Mehdi just showed this to me...the pic on the left is the cover for MLK & T.I.'s
A Year And A Day
Mixtape and you can clearly see that they just took Lupe's body and put T.I.'s head on it.

Whoever did this cover needs to step his/her game up...there are enough pics of T.I. around...no need to fake it like that...

The mixtape itself is pretty dope though. If you want it,
you can find it on NahRight

Aubrey O'Day And T.I. Mention Lupe Fiasco

pic via Complex

I checked out those new Complex pics from Aubrey yesterday....and today I went back to the site and read the interview...and what do I see on one of the side-notes?

This right here:

Ever the romantic, Aubrey makes her assistant sleep with her because she hates to be alone. She also calls Lupe Fiasco “my future husband.” Lu, you may need to kick, push up on that.

Seeing that Lupe is probably not interested...she should give me a call.

On another note....if you listened to T.I.'s album intro "56 Barz" from Paper Trail you probably heard that he mentions Lupe on there...which is cool.

If you haven't heard it...check it out.

And make sure to buy that album on September 30th.

thanks for the mail Hannah!

T.I. Says: There Should Be A Balance In What You Listen To

In town to promote his upcoming album Paper Trail, southern rapper T.I. surprised an auditorium full of students Thursday at a North Side high school.

He gave them a little speech and also answered some questions.

T.I. told them that there is nothing wrong with listening to “so-called” gangster rap, but there should be a balance in what you listen to. “If you think some of my music is negative, then why can’t you also listen to Kanye West, Common and Lupe Fiasco? They are all positive and very good. Listen to them to get some inspiration,” he said.

I think he's right with what he said...
sometimes you need some of that gangster
and sometimes you need some of that inspirational stuff.

Paper Trail is gonna be in stores September 30th!

Jay-Z Talks About Paving The Way For A New Generation

I see Euro's - That's right, plural
I took so much change
From this rap game
It's your go!

Jay: “[That verse] just happened to be Wayne for that song but it’s for everybody. You know that’s what Russell [Simmons] and those guys did for us. They paved the way so that we can get to our goals quicker,” he clarifies. “If it took Russell 10 years, then it took me and Puff five years. So hopefully it will take them two and a half. That was really a blanket statement for any up coming artist. For Lupe, for T.I., for everybody.”

I don't know what you think...
but I think it means a lot that he mentioned Lupe.

He could have said any name..but he picked Lupe and T.I.
that's pretty cool.

Right?

about the brand:

Newest of brands, IMPERIAL JUNKIE….

After the Creative Director was given the opportunity to travel extensively to Asia, but starting to fall in love with all things Japanese about 6 years ago when he began traveling regularly to Japan. This is where he started to “fiend” for all things Japanese. He’d stay a few days or even a couple of week at a time. He wasn’t always working; he was soaking up the Japanese culture. The best things just happen naturally!

The Creative Director says “It’s another world over there, but it’s also a mirror of our world.” The Japanese seem to love everything American, yet they still value everything that is traditional, old school Japanese. The growing modern / new school Japanese culture loves everything about western street culture, such as hip hop. They seem to drench themselves in our hip hop and street history, while still remaining true to themselves and mixing and remixing our style and our swagger to form a new youthful bond of street couture in fashion, music, design and just plain street-style bravado. This balancing act is what he admired and enticed him to begin something new, and now he has produced the first ideas for IMPERIAL JUNKIE.
